Gus' mama is a photographer, so when she said she wanted his photos done I was EXCITED! It was so much fun to chat with her during the session and catch up! It will be so much fun to meet his older twin siblings at his one year session later this year!
When Olivia came in it was still winter outside. But we ignored that and pretended Spring had made its arrival. I adore the sister photos we got and Paisley was a doll! Cant wait to see these two little ladies grow!
Olivia popped into the studio for a sitter mini session! These are some of my favorite sessions! They are about 30 minutes long and are really as long as any 6-8 month old needs! Sometimes we do take a bit longer to warm up in front of a new person with a camera in your face, but not this little gal!
I can't wait to meet up in July to take her one year photos with her parents! :)
Sweet Elsie usually takes a while to warm up to the camera. But not this time! She jumped right in for her two year milestone session.
Henry was a tough cookie for the first part of his session. Then his brilliant mama came up withe the idea to call Grandpa via Face time. Henry's face lit up the moment he heard his voice coming through! We captured some serious ones, which seems to be Henry's preferred resting face. :p But we also were patient and let Henry get comfortable in his surrounding so he opened up.
Sitter session take place between 7 and 9 months when baby is sitting unassisted but not yet crawling. This happens to, unfortunately, coincide with the "stranger" and separation anxiety stage. My commitment to each one of my clients is that I will be patient with your little one and you! New surroundings and a new lady with a camera in their face can be overwhelming at first. But we always make it through to a smile in the end!
Isabella came into visit me with her parents at 6 days new! She slept the entire sessions and only opened her eyes once to check out who I was. :) I am totally in love with the floral wraps for spring and have ordered more from my new favorite vendor! Can't wait for all of this snow to melt and get into some REAL spring weather!
Instead of writing about my experience with baby Nash's session I have decided to share the review that Nash's mom gave on my Facebook page. It is one of the sweetest, kindest things I have experienced in my 6 years in business! Thank you so much to each of you for trusting me with your sweet babies and memories! <3
From Emily (Nash's Momma) -
"Stefany is incredible! I contacted her when my babe was 2 weeks old and hadn't cooperated at 2 other newborn sessions with another photographer. I was hesitant to spend the money on another session since the first couple didn't work out the way I had hoped, but I'm SO grateful that Stefany made time for us right away and we got amazing photos! She was also awesome with my 2 and 5 year olds, and was a lot of fun to hang out with during the session! She sent our gallery days before she told us to expect it which was great because waiting to see how perfect these turned out was brutal. I feel like she totally saved our newborn photo experience and I couldn't be happier!"
It is a blessing and an honor to be able to photograph major events in people's lives. I was lucky enough to photograph Megan and Chad when they were engaged, at their wedding, their first child's birth and her newborn session. When someone trusts you with capturing their most important moments, I do not take that lightly. I am so excited to follow along with the journey of each of my clients and give them memories to look back on after the years have passed. I can't wait to see how this family grows and looks in the years to come. I have a feeling there may be a few more newborn sessions in their future. Congratulations, Megan and Chad!
Sometimes people come into your life through mysterious ways. Like the universe pulled you together and you just have to listen and find out why! I met Mandy through a Facebook mom's group. She has a large family, like we do, and we started chatting about life and all it has to throw at us! I was thrilled when she chose me to photograph her new addition. I didn't know until after we booked the session that this little nugget is a rainbow baby.
A rainbow baby is a baby born after a loss of another baby. The feelings that surround the birth of a rainbow baby are complex and intense. My favorite quote to help give some understanding to those who have not been touched by this experience is this:
"The beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravage of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it doesn't mean that the storm never happened...What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and clouds." (Author Unknown)
I love how this session turned out for Jackson and his family...to celebrate his birth and the memory of the baby who came before him. Oh! Jackson's sister got in on the action too and what a character!
